Broccolini plans its second condo tower in Toronto’s River District

TORONTO — Broccolini has announced a second project located in Toronto’s River District, the new east end neighbourhood near the Don River.

The project is the 34-storey LeftBank residential tower targeted for a site at River Street.

Broccolini’s new 34-storey LeftBank condo tower planned for River Street in Toronto was designed by IBI Group.
BROCCOLINI — Broccolini’s new 34-storey LeftBank condo tower planned for River Street in Toronto was designed by IBI Group.

The project has been designed by IBI Group and will feature a black-and-white exterior facade with a sail-like mast as a design feature.

The development will include a new linear park located on the south side of the building offering access to the walking trails of the Don River.

Layouts will include studio, one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den, two-bedroom and three-bedroom suites.

Amenities include a parcel locker room, fitness studio, kid’s zone, tool annex for DIY projects, yoga studio with juice bar, zen garden and meditation room, co-working lounge, theatre, gaming lounge, dining lounge, entertainment space and dog spa.

“LeftBank’s design is deliberately strong and confident through the form, materiality and colour palette, all of which captures the language of Broccolini developments,” said Mansoor Kazerouni, global director of buildings with IBI Group, in an Aug. 11 release.

“We responded to the location by creating a sail beacon that stands proud in the resilient east end neighbourhood. We can already envision the beautiful skyline shots of LeftBank for decades to come.”

Broccolini hosted a virtual groundbreaking for its 37-storey River & Fifth project in the River District in June.
