Work is moving along on the MRKT Condos, Phase 2A of the Alexandra Park Revitalization in Toronto.
The owners are Tridel Group/Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC)-Procurement and Deltera Inc. is the construction manager. The work includes one 13-storey market condominium building with 175 suites and one 14-storey rental building with 111 to 125 suites and three levels of underground parking. The TCHC rentals will be run by the Atkinson Cooperative and the buildings will share a three-storey, mixed-use podium with retail at grade, including a commercial day care centre.
Amenities include a fitness centre, party room, a kids zone and youth zone, courtyard, a bar, community garden, rooftop lounge, dine al fresco, dining area with barbecue stations, dog wash, outdoor pool and a terrace. The project will aim for LEED certification and it was designed by SvN Architects + Planners and CS&P Architects Inc. Consultants are Jablonsky Ast & Partners (structural), Novatrend Engineering (mechanical/electrical), Tomas Pearce Inter Design Consultants (interior) and Janet Rosenberg & Studio (landscape).
