Saskatchewan reports on Kindersley Highway 7 construction progress

REGINA – The Government of Saskatchewan has announced two improvements that have reached completion and another two that are at the midway point for the Highway 7 intersection project near Kindersley.

The province is investing an estimated $6.5 million for safety improvements at two intersections on Highway 7 in Kindersley. One intersection is Highway 7 and Highway 21. The other intersection is Highway 7 and Ditson Drive, a release said.

Funding for these four projects is through the 2024 $17.6 million Safety Improvements Program.

The work includes road widening, repaving, concrete work, street and traffic light alterations and traffic sign alterations.

Onsite construction began in May and is scheduled to be completed in October.

Pedestrian buttons will also be installed to the existing traffic lights at Highways 7 and 21, along with a pedestrian crossing at Highway 7 and Ditson Drive.
