Frontline Metro Vancouver construction workers fast-tracked for vaccinations
PROVINCE OF B.C. - Parts of Metro Vancouver have announced they will prioritize frontline workers for vaccines, including construction workers, now that supplies have increased.

VANCOUVER, B.C.- Construction workers in parts of Metro Vancouver are being fast-tracked to get COVID-19 vaccines.

Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health which are both health authorities for parts of the Lower Mainland, announced that they are implementing vaccination programs for construction workers.

“If you work in construction in the Lower Mainland and are in either Fraser Health or Vancouver Coastal Health regions you can book your vaccine appointments today,” stated a message from the BC Construction Association to members.

Vancouver Coastal Health stated in a letter that its goal is to prioritize “frontline workers, in industries where full use of personal protective equipment and barriers can be challenging, where outbreaks and clusters have occurred, and where workers live or work in congregate settings.”

Fraser Health announced to the construction sector in a letter that with the recent increase in vaccine supply coming into the province it can now move forward with its immunization program for frontline workers.

Workers in the Vancouver Coastal Health region can register at this link. The access code for Fraser Health is 20006429216 and the code for Vancouver Coastal health is 30007253663.
