CAPE BRETON, N.S. — Representatives of three levels of government have announced $9.75 million in joint funding to upgrade the Glace Bay Arena in Cape Breton, N.S.
The governments of Canada, Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Regional Municipality are each contributing $3.25 million to the project, it was announced Aug. 10.
This project consists of installing new refrigeration equipment, expanding the ice surface and replacing the roof.
The federal and provincial allocations are through the Investing in Canada infrastructure plan and the Atlantic Growth Strategy respectively.
