Fonds de solidarite FTQ invests in EBC

L’ANCIENNE-LORETTE, QUE. – The Fonds de solidarite FTQ and Investissement Quebec have announced an investment to support the growth of Quebec City construction firm EBC.

EBC is one of the largest construction companies in Canada with 1,600 employees in seven offices across the country. The firm has been active in the large-scale public infrastructure sector, building hospitals, schools, offices, bridges, roads, as well as the energy and mining sectors.

The company is headed by CEO Marie-Claude Houle. A recent statement said the investment will enable EBC to participate in more large projects that will drive economic growth.

“Thanks to Marie-Claude Houle’s leadership and her team, EBC is a strategic company in the Quebec construction ecosystem and one of the most successful contractors in the country. The Fonds will always support companies like EBC that seek to increase their regional impact and reach new markets,” said Janie Beique, CEO of the Fonds de solidarite FTQ.
