Isokorb thermal break now available in Canada

Schock recently introduced Isokorb into the Canadian market. The product is a load-bearing and thermally insulating element for connecting cantilevers, which penetrate the building envelope, such as balconies and canopies

KITCHENER, ONT.

A thermal break product that promises to increases sustainability, comfort and durability of buildings was recently introduced into the Canadian market.

Isokorb is a load-bearing and thermally insulating element for connecting cantilevers, which penetrate the building envelope, such as balconies and canopies.

It ensures full structural integrity when forming a thermal break in the building envelope and Isokorb reduces heat transfer through the building envelope, which saves energy consumption and prevents the formation of condensation and mould, and increases indoor air quality.

It reduces a building’s carbon footprint, supports a more holistic, systems-based approach to energy consumption and contributes to LEED certification.

Isokorb, introduced by Schöck, has been implemented in the Canadian market with projects such as: University of Calgary’s Student Residence, Mount Seymour Seniors Residence in North Vancouver and Beaver Barracks Affordable Housing in Ottawa.
