Daniels, Choice to redevelop Scarborough property
The Daniels Corporation and Choice Properties today announced plans to form a new partnership to redevelop the Golden Mile Shopping Centre in Scarborough. The site will be rebuilt into a mixed-use, mixed-income, multi-generational transit-oriented community adjacent to the new Eglinton Crosstown LRT. Principals with the firms will announce more details at the official launch on March 30.
CCA conference continues
The Canadian Construction Association presents day two of its three-day conference today. Highlights include an 11 a.m. EDT panel on the future of infrastructure and a 3 p.m. session on resilient balance sheets. Look for DCN reports all week.
Housing announcement for BC Capital district
The governments of Canada, British Columbia and the Capital Regional District will be making an announcement related to housing today. Saanich Mayor Fred Haynes will also be on hand for the 8:30 a.m. PT livestreamed event.
