KITCHENER-WATERLOO
Fortis Properties Corporation plans to build an 11,500-square-foot conference centre at the Holiday Inn Kitchener-Waterloo.
The new expansion will include a state-of-the-art ballroom, elegant reception areas, and private meeting rooms to complement the hotel’s existing meeting space. Construction will begin soon with completion slated for the spring of 2006.
“This expansion will address the current shortfall in conference space and support the growing needs of the community,” said Jonathan Lund, General Manager of the Holiday Inn Kitchener-Waterloo.
The $2.4 million conference centre is part of an ongoing 3-year renovation and expansion plan. The expansion to the Holiday Inn Kitchener-Waterloo will make the hotel one of the largest onference hotels in the tri-cities region.
