Work continues on the new St. Padre Pio Church in Vaughan, Ont. Melloul-Blamey Construction Inc. is the general contractor of the single-storey project that began in late 2009; the owner is the Archdiocese of Toronto.
The church was designed by Young & Wright/IbI Group Architects Inc.
Consultants are: Banerjee & Associates Inc. (structural); R Saldanha & Associates Inc. (mechanical); and Hammerschlag & Joffe Inc. (electrical).
Subcontractors include: Four Valley Excavating & Grading Ltd.; Albrecht Bros. Reinforcing Steel Ltd.; Able Concrete (formwork); Dufferin Concrete; Ontario Fox Corp. (masonry); Velco Plumbers Ltd. (mechanical); Jo-Tech Electrical Contractors; Sherwood Windows; and Provincial Industrial Roofing.
