Construction has reached the roof at the University of Guelph on the Ontario Veterinary College’s new Pathobiology/Animal Health Lab in Guelph, Ont.
Bird Construction Co. is general contractor of the four-storey building that includes a 120-seat lecture theatre, seminar rooms, a teaching lab, a state-of-the-art research/lab facilities and office space. Completion on the project has been scheduled for August 2010.
The project was designed by Robbie/Young & Wright Architects Inc./IBI Group.
Consultants are Halcrow Yolles (structural) and Smith and Andersen Consulting Engineers (mechanical/electrical).
Subcontractors include: Alfred Fach Excavating; Swan & Associates (formwork); Quest Steel (structural); G A Masonry; Greenfield Painting; PJ Daly Contracting Ltd. (drywall); JMR Electric Ltd. (mechanical/electrical); Merit Glass; WM Green Roofing & Sheet Metal; and Delta Elevator Co. Ltd.
