Port Credit project developer contributes to local health care workers
PCWVP — Participating in a cheque donation ceremony in support of Trillium Health Partners Foundation in Mississauga recently were (from left) Paul Michel (vice-president of finance of FRAM+Slokker); councillor Stephen Dasko, Mississauga ward one; Bob Blazevski (president and COO of DiamondCorp); Mayor Bonnie Crombie; and Debra Carson (senior vice-president at Trillium).

MISSISSAUGA, ONT. — The Port Credit West Village Partners and the Port Credit Community Foundation teamed up to deliver 600 meals to Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital staff.

The two organizations provided hot dinners from local Port Credit restaurants to show support for health care workers fighting COVID-19 and at the same time support local businesses, noted a recent release.

The meal delivery follows a donation of $10,000 by the community foundation. As well, the developer will match that with an additional $10,000 donation to Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital.

The Port Credit West Village Partners is the team behind the upcoming Brightwater master-planned community.

“We have an incredible and resilient community here in Port Credit and throughout Mississauga. We know these are extremely challenging times for our local businesses, community members and organizations. And we recognize our responsibility to create a positive impact and to come together as a community to support one another. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to the incredibly hard workers at Trillium Health Partners who are working selflessly day in and day out,” said Brightwater executive Christina Giannone in the release.
